A: What was funnier was seeing people used to being able to push start an auto (late '60s/early '70s) not be able to do it with their new car when they ran the battery down! The owners manual for my 66 american says 25 mph. I have started it at 15 mph numerous times, however it WILL NOT start any lower than 15. I have tried to start it at 14 or lower and no go, but once it hits 15 it will pop right over. It's amazing how many people have seen me pushing my car to start it and just stood back and watched as they told me you can't coast/push start an auto....and then their jaw drops to the ground when it starts.
