1. post-'71 sixes are ~1/4" taller than earlier.
2. post-'72 sixes have v8 bellhousing pattern with starter on dist
   side; earlier have smaller bell with starter under manifolds.
3. some '72-4 sixes still had shaft rockers, not many.  if the block
   isn't drilled for the oil gallery you must rig an external line.

juggling of various parts can make it happen but it isn't a straight
swap.
