Mines been on the car for 3+ years. it doesn't have a lot of run time on it, but it has been sitting in the damp and I've been running the car lately foling wiht this and that. It seesm to be fine with no baffles knocked loose or rattles and sounds good. For what the original post concerned I would go with a Dynomax or other good name brand turbo. For true performance use, yes, I would probably spring for a better welded muffler. I was on a limited budget when I put mine on. Now I would go up to a Flowmaster or similar. There is also the space limitation of the American in my case. It is a very tight fit, right beside the fuel tank.
