Order a Jeep booster from www.mpbrakes.com. They don't list AMC cars, but the Jeep CJ booster is practically the same thing. They will only sell a booster with a MC since there is a question on booeter to MC rod adjustment. You need to tell them it's for a CJ-7, but you can specify which side the brake lines are on. You might have to use brake line adapters, but I think they are the same -- at least as mid to late 70s cars. It will look similar to, but not exactly like, the factory booster. To use the CJ brackets take them loose from the booster and flip upside down. I've done this in a Classic, but haven't actually tried it in a smaller car. Classic and small car brackets are the same, and the CJ booster appears to raise and extend the booster as much as an original bracket, but I haven't actually measured/compared both side by side. The CJ could be a little more or less than the original car bracket, but I suspect it will work just as well on a small car as a big one. What brakes do you have on your Javelin? that's the only issue with using a CJ MC -- it will be a 1" bore. That's fine for drum brakes and 77+ Hornet/Concord type calipers, but not big enough for the KH or Big Bendix 3.1" piston calipers. I think the four piston Bendix use a 1" MC also, but you'll have to check. On May 17, 2005 Armand Eshleman wrote: > I have been looking for a booster for my 70 Javelin for a while now.
