Re: For Sale - Not Mine

That rear roof rust appears to be common, especially in Florida cars. The 63 I picked up for parts is the same. It appears that water from coolers/fishing buckets/etc. evaporates in the car and leaches through the headliner, condensing on the roof. It then runs down into the "D" pillars on either side of the tailgate window. If the pillars aren't rusted through (thin) if isn't hard to fix. Clean it up, tack weld or epoxy metal from the inside of the roof (remove headliner, of course), then skim coat with bondo to smooth out. Don't use it for a fishing car anymore and there should be no problems! It rusts up there because the roof didnn't get a primer coat from the inside. The "deep dip" was 3-4 inches down from the roof. I sprayed my roof with a rust inhibitor before putting the headliner back in. But my car wasn't used for fishing or beach trips.

TSM, owners manual, some reciepts, and he thinks he may have the original sales reciept. Asking $500. I think he'd take any reasonable offer, but he want's to sell it to someone that "will restore it" so bear that in mind if you choose to contact him.

Interior needs attention. Has had a repaint in it's past and is dull. Two-tone dark blue main color, white roof on back top where luggage rack is.
