The Nash Glass Tower built by Whiting Corporation was eighty feet tall and continually rotated sixteen Nash and Lafayette automobiles up and down in a so-called "paternoster" fashion. It was intended both to showcase Nash cars and to suggest new solutions to urban parking. Today, it and Nash are forgotten, http://hometown.aol.com/chicfair/nash.jpg but its concept is still "smart" enough for DaimlerChrysler to use http://www.bunkertours.co.uk/MVC04226.jpg even if it won't "tip" US buyers toward their cars. http://www.coolpix.us/DSCN0574.JPG Smart ain't coming here, at least for awhile. Thud!
