Hey Bruce !!@ Is there a supplier for 'Rev Kits' for AMC ? These mount in the valve valley area with springs keeping the roller lifters in place > usually has a pair of machined bars with spring reliefs that mount under the overhangs. One cool thing: ISKY used to have these *neat* Rev Caps that mounted over the existing valve springs and stem with a cap top the rocker would ride on > good for another 500 rpm. I checked this year and didn't see them listed. Brien. This has been a problem with AMC heads for YEARS and I am totally amazed no one has come out with a decent kit for this!. Depending on what cam you are using you might need to machine the stud boss down to get the rockers at the right height for proper geometry. Use shorter or longer pushrods to get the geometry right and then cut the boss so that the rocker is in the proper position on the stud. The late model heads are a different story entirely. They are already tapped for 5/16 studs but have NO pushrod guides once you remove the OE rockers. If it's a street motor and you are using a hyd cam with open spring pressure of NO MORE than 350 lbs you can use small block ford studs and Olds 455 guide plates. You WILL have to machine the heads slightly (especially on top of the Exh crossover). So the guide plates will fit correctly. I have done several motors this way with no problems. If you are running a solid cam with more than 350 open pressure you will need to enlarge the stud mounting holes to 3/8 for bigger studs. THEN you will have a problem finding guide plates. AMC roller rockers are the same as small block Ford. I have used them interchangeably with no geometry problems. Some will argue with what I have stated above. That's their prerogative. I'm just stating what HAS worked for me. Bruce Hevner
