John, consider the MA5 from the 2004-05 Chevy Colorado.

2697380&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT

Good points:

Upgraded version of Toyota R150 - superior to Jeep\Dakota AX15 Bolts
right up to Jeep 4.0 bellhousing - input shaft length 7.5" 2WD Takes
stock GM THM 350 tranny yoke and stock GM pressure plate

Bad points

Uses electronic speedometer.
Gear ratio's not quite as good as the R154 but better than the AX15

Trans First Second Third Fourth Fifth

AX15 - 3.83 2.33 1.44 1.00 0.79
MA5 - 3.753 2.26 1.37 1.00 0.729
R150 - 3.83 2.062 1.436 1.00 0.838
R154 - 3.25 1.95 1.30 1.00 0.75
