Did you post over at www.amcforums.net? If so I left an answer. I'll post a short version here. 

Tim's site is great! The only physical concern is the wash-out holes on the right edge of the head. They need to be plugged. Easiest DIY way is to pack the holes with water soluble packing peanuts and epoxy (need 1/16" epoxy, minimum) then let it cure for 24 hours. Next best is to drill the holes out to 3/4" and pop in 3/4" welch plugs (freeze plugs) with a little sealer on the edges. You could thread for flush pipe plugs, but that's goin overboard! Lastly the holes can be welded, but not recommended unless you're a good welder. 

The 4.0L head (and block) is slightly wider than the older counterparts. The 4.0L head gasket blocks these holes, they are to close to the edge ofthe block when the head's on the older block.
