Best 258 / 4.0 site is : Strokers@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx go to Yahoogroups and sign up > depending on the year of the 258 > you'll either have 1/2" head bolts or 7/16 on the 1981 and up 'Lite' versions. YOu can make sleeves to take up the slack between the 1/2" holes of the 4.0 head and your 7/16" headbolts or you can tap your block to use 1/2" headbolts (better). As to the Intake / exhaust manifold > are you upgrading to EFi with the swap ? (better) > if so > join Strokers as all the info is there along with some very helpful membership. Some like the Renix EFi system as it accepts the Crane 905 cam (nice Torque) and other changes > compensates with a knock sensor etc. Depending on what car you have > the 1999 and up EFi Manifold is Best. If you have an Eagle or Gremlin or Hornet or Concord> only the Renix (1987 - 1990 ) EFi manifold will work due to space between it and your Brake Booster > you can run a HydroBoost from a truck > that is Jim B. territory to address. If you're running a carb > find the 1987-88 Eagle Intake manifold > as it is fitted to a close to 4.0 head in that year vehicle. You should find the Renix 1987-1990 stainless steel exhaust manifold as it 'dumps' further back than do the later models.
