I was thinking I was the only one remembering anything about our oil shale alternative. Apparently, this was talked about plenty after the gasoline crisis of 1973 & later. It looks like I wasn't the only one who remember the stuff as it is all over the web now, per a quick Google search.
It presents the same ecological problems as using petroleum but the good news is that it does become cost competitve at around $2.00 per gallon, or at $40 per barrel for crude. More good news is that much of it is in Colorado area (and much in Estonia, Russia, China, and many others). _____________________________________________________________________ Ralph Ausmann - Hillsboro, OR - > http://mysite.verizon.net/res79g4m/ ralph.ausmann@xxxxxxxxxxx - http://clubs.hemmings.com/classicamx
