i don't think cold would make it any worse, but keeping pressure up
could be a challenge.
one of my local tire places is pushing nitrogen inflation - even
offering free check-and-refill.  they mention a study showing that n2
leaks 25% slower than plain air.
i wonder how a really big gas molecule, like sf6 used in hi-v ckt
breakers would do?
