i don't use public transportation because my city doesn't have much.
however, i'm close enough to city center to walk everywhere downtown;
the public library is less than ten minutes away, 0.57mi by mapquest.
my bank is clear across town and about 1.3mi; i can still make it in
about twenty minutes. supermarket, city hall, restaraunts... i only
take my car to work [though i would love to find a job in town] or to
visit friends and relatives.
