The first time my sister entered her '70 Javelin in a car show, it was called a Torino by a passer-by!  (And they probably didn't mean the IKA version.)

My favorite comment is still the one received by some fellow club members who were at a gas station with a '69 AMX.  A semi-drunken passer-by shouted (with indignation) "What t'hell is THAT?  Some kind of a...SHORTENED Javelin?"
