Mark, there's a guy on the Hot Rodders forum (www.hotrodders.com) who converted a Borg Warner OD unit to a remote mount. He's using it in a truck. You might consider something like that. The GV unit is a HD version of the Laycock-DeNormanville unit that AMC used in the 70s. In fact, GV got their start by buying leftover stock from AMC and then making their own adapters and remote mount kits. They started making parts because of the high cost to ship from England, and they wanted to beef it up a bit for the really big engines.
