Jim, if the carb opening on the manifold is open, just one big squarish hole, it would be simple to fab an aluminum plate adapter for one of the 2V TBI units. I think the Offy 2x4 manifold is like that. The Megasquirt should drive the four injectors easily! A pair of 670 cfm 2V TBIs should be more than enough (4.3 V-6 or 350 V-8 TBIs)! Lots of good info there. I still have much to learn, and the electronic part is mostly over my head at this point, but I found out that multi throttle bodies are very possible, and in fact GM made them as the "Cross-Fire" system some years back. > > On fuel injection systems, there's TBI (Throttle body injection) where the injectors are on the body, and SI (Sequential Fuel Injection) where each cylinder has it's own injector, and the throttle body merely induces air to the manifold. The controller can manage either, depending on how you set it up. They suggest if a beginner, to start with TBI, learn that, plus it's easier to setup, and go to SI later on which would require injector bungs be put in the manifold. You'd have to remove the injectors from the throttle body at that point and plug the holes. I have to get a carb-pattern TB, but those are on the market by several companies, altho as of now, I've only seen some made by Accufab that were big (for one TB installation) and pricey. > > The trick would be to find an OEM setup that would work, and is common. Megasquirt also mentions a number of OEM pumps that would work and give the cross-reference #'s to go get them from an auto parts store, or what to look for in the boneyard if you want to try used. They have other parts required that are mentioned as OEM as well. > > The MS site also has a forum that has threads addressing everything I'd want to know, or I can sign up and start a new one. > > Interesting research, more later... > > Jim Boone > Mims, FL > > ============================================================= > Posted by wixList Archiver -- http://www.amxfiles.com/wixlist > > > > > > . ============================================================= Posted by wixList Archiver -- http://www.amxfiles.com/wixlist
