I haven't ordered a converter yet for my 998 in a 74 AMX but received the fol reply from TCI: 'Our breakaway series converter should work perfectly for you. I assume you need the Chrysler style converter ( starter ring gear is welded on the torque converter). The part number for this converter is 141300. It will give you a stall speed around 2400 rpms, yet remain very driveable. Thank you for considering TCI.' If I order from them do I need to tell them to remove the ring gear? Thanks. Stall is 3200 RPM. It's even pretty tight just tooling around town. Be sure to tell them it's for an AMC so it comes ready to install (without a ring gear). -Steve- ----- Original Message ----- From: <mail@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <mail@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, April 10, 2005 2:26 PM Subject: SUPPLIERS FOR CONVERTORS > i am in the process of looking for a new stalll convertor for my gremlin. > SO far I love TCI ,mostly because i have very little choice it seams..
