Re: Wiper switch and timer

The intermittent timer used by AMC since their inception of delay wipers was always a Motorcraft piece. Most of the AMC units have "Motorcraft" on the black box. Assumably the wiper switch would be interchangeable with a Ford unit as well.

Fords that used the same setup: @73-79 Thunderbirds/Torinos/Montegos/Cougars/LTD II, 74-78 Mustang II, @73-79 Lincoln Mark series and some Continentals, 73-86 Ford fullsize pickups, including the 78-86 Broncos. The big LTDs and Mercuries with delay wiper used the same black timer box, but they had a sliding switch instead of a knob setup.

The length of the shaft on the actual switch may vary depending on the model, but they all used the black box as AMCs. Ford actually had delay wipers available starting in some 1969 models, but I'm using 1973 as a starting point as most of the 73-up models were similar in fit and function.
