 I just bought a magazine , vintage, off of Ebay that
has a 4-page article on the motor itself, it gave
pretty good reviews about the general overall German
design of the head flow characteristics, power band,
etc. Did mention you had to row the gears to get
going, also that the Porsche and Gremlin were very
heavy cars for this particular motor, so could perform
better than what it seemed to be doing. Lots of room
for performance enhancements, they seemed to say.
Magazine is called Minicars, by Petersen Action Group,
