Hi, My 1959 2.4 Jag had a BW J35. It had an aftermarket oil cooler on it. I never had the need to find out how it connected, but do recall the cooling fins on the torque converter. Also, this transmission had a direct drive clutch in the torque converter. Another point, it was I think a cast iron case. I do know it was a lot heavier than I guessed, it nearly crushed my rib cage.

If you had one laying about, could be worth taking a look at. The d/d clutch was operated by pressure from the rear pump. Engaged at about 38 MPH. Torque Flights had a rear pump also.

Could be worth looking into. Could also be a lot of bother.
