It's been a frustrating winter. Between the Los Angeles rains and my work schedule I've got no work done, though I did collect a lot of stuff. Finally collected a nearly complete set of interior trim plastic, and most of a set to fix up Josh's 72.
I'm sure it's happened to everyone, but I'm kinda stalled over the transmission project. Once again, I chose a complex path, and I'm bogged down in the details. I finish projects, even absurdly complicated ones, but in this case I think I'm gonna set the T-150/OD aside, and rebuild the 904 Torqueflite I have laying around and stick that in. I want this damn car on the road!
I've got the trans, a brand new Megashifter, the right speedo cable, and a driveshaft. The motor has a flexplate on it now... and the right crank bush for the torque converter. Still don't have clutch linkage, have to buy a clutch, ... I can take a hint!
And I'll have the car on the road. That trumps all I'm afraid. This project has taken long enough!
With the 904 in hand, I could have the engine and trans installed in two weekends.
I'll call for a price on rebuilding and a TransGo kit with my favorite trans place in the morning.
