Re: 69 AMX F/S (project)

Hey Richard, I just emailed you. I've been looking for a project AMX for some time. I can't afford a nice one but if I buy your car, I can promise it a good home and never the possibility that it would b junked out.

Hi All,

I am losing my storage for my childhood car,
So I am contemplating selling her.

It is a 69 AMX Go Pack with 390 4 speed.
Power steering/brakes and front discs.
Bittersweet Orange with black stripes.
Charcoal leather interior & all glass intact.

I will not part this out as I have no time to ship or package things nor do
I have any interest in being a parts dealer.

She is no cream puff as it was spun into a cement
gaurd rail 2o years ago and has spent most of the rest
of her time under a cover or in a garage.

There is some rust in the passenger floor boards
in a couple of spots about the size of a silver dollar.
The inner engine compartment has rust under the battery.

The drivers side rear quarter has the obligitory lower rust
and the passenger side is where she took the shot,
if you can picture it I went into a cement gaurd rail in reverse
at approx. a 45 degree angle.

Now the upside, the engine was a new OEM short block
assyembly back in the early eighties and has an estimated
10-15 thousand miles on her at best.
With open headers I ran a 13.99 @ 101 mph
in the quarter and I was feathering the gas because the
clutch was slipping !!

I am the second owner of this car and bought it from the
original owner back in 1980.

I will have to dig up any digital photos that I have,
but for the time being anyone who has any
serious interest can email me off list
rworst@xxxxxxxxxxx

The car is located in central New Jersey,
Union County, its about 20 minutes west
of Newark Airport from the NJ Turnpike.
