Should have some pics up by this weekend. Progress is being made!! The UPS truck knows our dog by name and they are buddies. The rear brakes went on last weekend and the only holdup was a broken keeper for the self adjuster. Got the outside door handle the other day and realized that the latch assembly was also broken for the drivers door. That came today and now the driver's door works like it should. When I get real anal about it I will replace the hinge pin bushings. The motorcraft carb conversion is on and I just have to sort through which vacuum lines I will keep for the CC, EGR, temp controls and the vacuum advance. The rest will be history. Monday the new valve cover from Quadratech got here and it looks and feel like a substantial improvement over the leaky plastic factory unit. I am still waiting for the HEI distributor to get here so I can fire the beast up without the computer going beserk with the stock unit and no inputs from the missing vacuum valves etc.. The valve cover goes on this Saturday and if the HEI is here then I should be undertaking some test runs to see what else I think should be done. If the weather holds, it should be above freezing on Saturday so I can wash the road salt off and wax it. That's all for now. just thought I would share.
