Re: Big Price Jump? R134 Freon

WOW- why did it take such a jump? did I miss something? After the tree huggers did away with the R12, now they jack this one up too. I hear there is still a lot of the old R12 out there, I know dealers that bought a lot of it some years ago at the higher prices figuring they would need it and could sell it, but I think now they are dying with it. Check out Costco or BJ's. I bought a case 12 of the real Dow brand of R134 last year for about 16.00 bucks, as I wanted to convert my pacer, eagle and alliance, but havent got to it yet. I guess with this news I will check out those places in the next few days and keep my eyes open for the stuff.
