Good evening esteemed colleagues, I couldn't help but get interested in the conversation about leaf springs. Especially since I believe I will be in the market for them myself some day soon. I am big into road racing and so I love cars that have that lowered close to the ground look, with the snout digging windrows in the leaves on the backroads. Any way I digress, I do not want to loose very much suspension travel but I do want to lower my 70 Javelin somehow some day. Has anyone done this? I did get some great information from a guy in Texas about how to lower the front and not loose travel but I'm still trying to figure out a way to drop the back and not loose too much travel. So far all I can come up with is to place blocks between the axle and spring and then move the suspension bump stop to the inside of the frame and raise it up some with a bracket. What do you guys think? Has anybody seen the 70's Trans AM cars up close ? How did they drop them? thanks, Armand
