Once you get the anodizing stripped off and polish the aluminum to a high shine, here's a suggestion: POR-15 Products is now making a clear coating that you put on polished aluminum that keeps it from oxidizing. They are touting it as an excellent way to preserve aluminum diamond plate (i.e. truck boxes, fire trucks, etc) and aluminum wheels that oxidize and are such a pain in the ass to polish. The specific product name is "Glisten PC" and it is not supposed to yellow or fade, and it's supposed to be resistant to stone chips. I haven't used the stuff, but it looks and sounds promising. POR-15 makes quality stuff, so I expect it would perform well. Check it out at www.por15.com Jeff Reeves Auburn GA 79 Spirit GT (has black bumpers) 72 Javelin SST 69 Ambassador DPL
