Here's my opinion, such as it is: I believe Frank would make a great moderator. Face it, this is a tough job, and it takes someone that's willing to do it, and can do it with patience. Not always easy in this crowd. I've been on this list for some 4-5 yrs now, not always active, but there nontheless. I've met Frank at the Texas AMO Nats in '01, and noticed on the list that even when he is attacked, he responds thoughtfully, not violently. I personally don't care if he does have a magazine, and wants to be an officer to two different (and opposite fwik) AMC clubs; in fact, that's a plus in my book. He's offered great advice over the yrs, to me, and to many others, whether we subscribed to his mag, or were members of any car clubs. What we have in Frank is someone willing to step up and take responsibility, not a bad thing... As to Randy, I have to say, even with all his ranting, he's one of the contributors to this list that I always read. I dismiss the crazy stuff, and look for his knowledge of all things AMC. I support him coming back, maybe with oversight, but I feel his technical knowledge outweighs the bad. All that stuff about the cranks and such last week? I didn't read most of it, just skipped through and gleened the tech stuff, so it didn't bother me any. Let's look at this: make a set of rules/guidelines, post them, and use fair judgement in enforcment (nothing should be absolute IMO). Don't take things personally, and think before responding. If we get back on track, talk about AMC's, and leave the politics out of it, maybe we'll get back on course. Colin has done a great job, but it's time for him to go. I also met him in Texas. This is just my opinion, take it as you will...
