The high back slim buckets were used in the Spirit and last year of the Matador coupe. Should have been in anything in 78 with bucket seats as an option. Not sure if 78 Concord had such an option, I know the Matador sedan/wagon didn't! I've used AutoCraft seat covers with great success. They last 5-7 years depending on use and are usually $200-$300 for a set (front and rear). They are designed to pull over existing seat covering, but are tough enough to use alone. AutoCraft suggests adding a layer of 1/4" foam if using alone. The only problem with using them without the original cover is there may be open spots near the hinge area. I've used same/similar color material pinned or stitched in place over the are, then pulled the cover over. Looks near factory. I've bought them through J.C. Whitney. You can order like material by the yard as well, great for matching door panels. On February 27, 2005 Douglas Predmore wrote: > These most definitely look like Spirit seats to me, as well. I see OEM replacement seat covers for sale every once in a while on EBay, on epages (http://epage.com/js/browse/v1/r32346/1106040.html) and on AMX-perience (http://www.amx-perience.com/classifieds/) from time to time. You might even consider posting a want ad for a set of replacement covers here on the list.
