A: Essentially what is happening is the html (that's the behind the scenes stuff in email that makes colors and other fancy stuff like different text than courier type) that you can't see when you type (unless you can stand to do it in an open html which I have done numerous times while building websites by hand) You see the stuff in the ( brackets ) in my posts? HTML is put inside similar brackets and disappears to the naked eye when rich text is used. The stuff in those brackets is what tells your email what to do, how to look and what color or background or whatever. One of the things I plan to do is set up an alternate email address that you can send regular email to and it will be stripped of the fancy stuff and any "attachments" not to mention virii and then send it on to the main list. It wouldn't happen on my other computer or if I was connected directly into my network only on dial up. I would send a message just like this one with no attachment and I would get an undeliverable message from the list stating it does not accept attachments. I don't recall exactly what it was but it had something to do with my settings. Check under your user preferences, mail, internet mail format and see if there is an option for Plain Text Only. If so, choose that setting and see what happens. I think that may have been what it was.
