Like ASK the company(ME), and NONE of what has gone on here in the last few days would NOT have happened. This next exert how ever is very problematic for me: "This is a classic case of false advertising. The only difference is that the vendor is suffering by losing potential customers who think their product is incorrect. The only positive I see coming out of this is possibility that Phoenix will post a correct picture of their stripe kit, or at least remove the false link from their website. Posting an accurate picture will avoid any confusion in the future and quite possibly, even probably, increase the vendor's sales. " You seam to be genuine here, BUT you are ( from what I can read) attacking me. redundant I shall be. WHEN HAVE YOU EVER HAD FAST FOOD THAT LOOKED LIKE THE FOOD THEY HAVE PICTURED! If you look at large advertisements they will have all sorts of declaimers and "the product may not be as pictured" ============================ A.J. - I understand your take on this communication - but it seems as well - just a poor choice of words . It is a difficult position to take - since you are correct that many manufacturers plaster the wrong picture with a Disclaimer on their Ads & Boxes. Disclaimers came about due to Law Suits and Complaints. This is NOT the way things were or started out with Packaging - but - Early Globalization with Mfgs. not under direct control - or - suppliers in another country with varying subsuppliers who can deliver a 'similar' part - things went to hell in short order..... but ......... things are improving as complaints from Sellers mount. These days - there are easy ways for the supplier to get and use the actual photo of what they are supplying - to the people who will package and Retail the unit. Anyone can make 'Sorta Like' stripes - it takes Research - and Effort to Manufacture Faithfully Accurate Reproductions of the Factory Original. At the Auto Parts Stores - at least around the Mid Hudson Valley - it is Expected by the Counterperson - that the Picture on the package is that of the part inside - because - this is a REFERENCE for them to conduct Business with - and - Parts Suppliers are getting the Message since the Store Owners don't like having packaging pulled open to get an accurate fix on the part. For Suppliers in an Accurate Reproduction market - they were point blank Stupid - for using a Fascimilie Picture.......... somewhat akin to shooting yourself in one foot before a sack race. Brien.
