sc/360

This was written a few days ago, have not had time to respond to ALL the posts.
I think you missed what Randy was saying. Remember, there were NO decals available ( Hillicks 15 plus years ago) for the SC before I sent them in to have them made for sale for my business and of course PG will sell it as well,BUT WHY buy from PG IF you have a Vendor (STAMC) that supplied the original N.O.S. kits to have them made. You pay the same price, but can save as much as $35 on shipping if the kits are bought through me. Other vendors have also profited from my work. WHY would not want to keep your AMC dollars in AMC hands were it will go back in to bring other needed parts to the AMC hobby? There were no photos for the actual reproduction. I had this old unpublished photo and put it up on the web page, and told PG they could use it too ( like my photo of the Scat 360 rods being used by others), instead of the parts book drawing of the car and decal. I understand your take on seeing the photo and THINKING it was wrong, but that is why we have communication, ask. To !
 use an example:
You want to buy a RED Ford P/U, but a dealers add shows a white one. Are you going to think that the dealer only has white P/Us, so you won't shop there. IF one of my customers will ever send a photo ( quality as good as that almost 20 year old scanned photo), of their car with the stripe, I will use it, I will still leave the white one up, that's a good looking SC! PG would most likely follow suit. I continue to work with PG to bring more decals out, and I try and correct problems with decals. The Pacer X door decals are being done now, and other kits will follow.

Randy, I agree! Seeing is believing. If you want people to know that your
reproductions are correct, use a correct photo of the product.

Andre, I apologize if I stirred up a Hornets nest (pun intended) but
Randy is right, the wrong picture gives people the wrong idea. People
don't always believe what they hear but if it is in a picture they will
tend to believe it. As far as jumping to conclusions, I am guilty of
that because of the picture of the white SC/360. Am I wrong in doing so,
I don't think so because I am just an average consumer. I am not in the
market for a stripe kit right now so why would I ask you if your stripe
kit is correct? Seeing your picture made me believe that it is not
correct and that would have effected my vendor choice when it came time
to purchase a kit. Without this information being corrected, I would have
looked elsewhere for a stripe kit when it came time to buy one. I am not
saying any of this as a personal attack, I am just trying to make you
understand a consumers point of view. I have purchased from you in the
past and do not have any complaints so this is not personal, it'!
s consumer sense.

Someone needs to talk to Phoenix and get them to stop using that picture
to advertise the SC/360 stripe.
