RE: I need Carburetor Help for rebuild???

Thank you Randy! Now I just have to determine
whether its a 4300 or 4350. I'm clueless about the
choke part number and I'm guessing here, but I'm
thinking the carb is from a 1974 model based on
the first digit of those numbers.

Thank you for the info on the intake. I learned
something new today.

Thank you for your help,
Ralph Bade

Ralph,

It sure sounds like you have the Motorcraft carb
alright. In some cases
there will be no listing at all for the AMC model
carb kit. Don't give
up. All the common rebuild gaskets is the same as
the Ford models which
usually are listed.

As for your intake manifold saying 360. That is
because it is an
OFFENHAUSER 360 intake. It is the model of the
intake, not for a 360
engine size. Just like Edelbrock named their
latest intake Air Gap,
Offenhauser designates this as their 360
manifold.This also refers to
the design of the intake. The offy 360 intake fits
on any AMC V8 from 290
thru 401.

If/when you get strange stares at the auto parts
about an AMC motorcraft
carb, try to get the counter guy to look at Ford
models and you can get
enough parts to go thru the carb.

Good Luck,
Randy Guynn
