A: I just got this one. (might want to check out one of the full size Jeep lists as well. fsj@xxxxxxxxxx is pretty quiet, but 1fsj@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and fsj-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx are livelier) Sounds like the infamous fuel sock (if you live in an area where they dumped MTBE in the fuel) collapsing and sucking against the fuel line opening. Try removing that "sock" and replacing the rubber hoses on top of the tank, then add an in-line filter (I go with the glass see-thru ones right before the fuel pump, but away from the exhaust manifold) That has cleaned up problems with most of my rigs. I also have a '70's Dodge electronic ignition coil (say '77 Aspen with 318) with my points that boosts power spikes to a nice gap jumping level. No fancy plug wires for this system (wire core with Autolite resistor plugs) and make sure the power source to the coil isn't dropping or getting AC voltage spikes from the alt. (ammeters in these FSJs are a high source of wiring fires due to corroded connectors) Re: 74 Cherokee Bucking/Cutting out Help Please --- Steven Clark <javelin1973401@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > Hello Everyone > I got a deal on a 74 Cherokee last week...
