AMC related?

Here's a good reason to never let anyone borrow a precision tool
from you. If they want to use it either make them come over to your
place or make sure they understand the consequences. Some friends
borrowed my 1/2" drive Craftman torque wrench that I've had since
the 70's. They had it for over a month, I got it back and it was still on
the last setting they used it for I think it was like 80 or 90 lb. ft. Well
guess what, the accuracy is gone, the wrench is screwed up and won't
torque things accurately anymore. When storing this torque wrench it's
always supposed to be set at the lowest torque value. They didn't
bother to do that, heck why should they it's not theirs. Any body know
how to repair a torque wrench? It's no longer under warranty I tried that.
I don't know if Sears will service it for less than replacement costs
either.
Does maybe a Snap-On or Mac tool rep fix torque wrenches?
AMC content, When that torque wrench is repaired it will be working on
my Javelin, just like it did before it got abused.

Thanks all,

Armand
