That's really awesome! I'd say it's quite a testimony for AMC and the Gremlin....engine not withstanding. I think my mechanics challenge is that it was a high end rebuild (specialty shop...cost me about 6K including removal and replacement). He says that it's gonna run pretty hot for awhile 'cause it's so "tight"....he wants the rings to seat good and for it to loosen up a bit before putting too much mileage on it. Plus he want to change the oil at 500, 1000 and 2000 miles for the first bit. I'm not engine aficionado...so I'm taking his word for it. Anybody got any other thoughts?
