From: Jerry Casper <gremlingts@xxxxxxxxx> Subject: Chrome V-8 valve covers, from th' 'Bay...comments on quality? Oops, hit return instead of Tab. Sorry! Anyway, just got in a pair of chrome V-8 valve covers I bought off Ebay, from www.specialtiestuff.com. They sold for $20 for the pair, plus $10 shipping. Got'em today, look great! Made in Taiwan, anyone else have any experience with them, or from these people? thanks, Jerry in Va ----------------------------------- You'll know how the chrome is if it stays put! With Aftermarket Valve Covers - & Automatic Deeper Trans Pans, the pressed tin / Chrome units don't pass heat well - which is why I will only purchase Cast Aluminum Valve Covers & Trans. Pans - in Unpolished - Unpainted states. There are paints that will pass more heat than an unpainted surface. Kal Gard was one of the premier suppliers of heat wicking coatings. Polishing cast Aluminum loses surface area - as the roughness has more surface area to wick away heat - more surfaces . But Chrome is Beautiful! And that Age Old Adage of : 'If it don't Go - Chrome It' - still is Tru Today ! Brien. NEW YORK eagle registry #501 eagle kammback registry -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
