A: Also check the Buy & Sell (available at all 7-11s and other places in the Autotrader stand every friday) Last I looked there were 3 practically being given away on the peninsula. (Guy wanted @$300 for 3 of them and had enough parts to make 2 run. Transmissions seemed to be their weak point) I have no room at my place (getting rid of my son's '83 TBird 5.0L project hopefully today. Guy offered $75 without the tires and I asked where he wanted it towed to) Next on the chopping block is the $500 Montero (Mitsubishi Jeep knockoff) I was going to fix and drive till I sold it (needs the flywheel replaced due to the wrong starter being installed along with the new motor by the previous owner. They didn't even know enough to replace the intake and carb gaskets when they installed it! I have the parts, but not the time or warm place to work on it to mess with it right now.) Then I can park the Ford moving van closer to the garage and work on transferring all the parts I want to sell to where I can find them (Flea Market/Swap meet weather is upon us already here. 12 days above 50 in a row and 1/2 this week is sunny. What am I doing on the computer in the middle of the day? Oh yeah! I have a doc's appointment this afternoon) Out in the backyard, I have my '84 J10/M715 hybrid project (4.6L stroker AMC 6 motor is buried in my garage so I need to dig it loose and assemble it) with LPG fuel, AW4, NV241OR 4:1 tcase, HD Dana 44 front axle (SOA for 7" of lift without even changing springs), Dana 60 rear (from a '77 J20 along with the front disc brakes and 4.10 gears) 36" tires (with room for up to 40") and many other goodies. (Killer32 bumpers and nerfs plus some custom interior goodies including an alarm that will take note of anyone even walking under the truck!) I have a '73 J4000 work/tow truck with 304 (purloined from the '77 AMX I sadly parted) TH400 (nailhead version with adapter ring that is nearly a core) BW QT with part time kit and 16% O/D (tcase came that way. Chain is stretched but not skipping bad yet) with J20 full float 3.73 dana 60 rear axle and still the original front, (but I have a J20 front axle to install when I get time) and it's about to be converted to a 727 (from the '80 Cherokee rust bucket with blown rod 4.2/727/NP208 I parted and still have a few body pieces left from) and either a Dodge NP208D (passenger's side drop) or hybrid Chev NP208C/Jeep NP208J right hand drop (I have both of those. Chev Tcase has the wrong input gear and is slipyoke rear. The Jeep tcase is LH drop ) I have a fladeck to put on it, OR it might go on my incoming '64 J200 ex-camper. I was told they only came with D60 front (closed knuckle drum brake) and D70 rear (with duals) on an M715 extended frame. The camper is toast (covered in tarp, but a tree dropped on it last fall in the windstorms we had) but it would make a perfect rollaway tow rig. (in which case I'll finish changing the front axle in my J4000 and put it up for sale with the 33" tires on it) Then back to my son's projects to round out the yard. '83 Cherokee Widetrack monster truck project (SOA 3/4 ton front and double framed rear with 3.54 ratio Dana 61 from an E350 I parted) I have a set of 36" tires for that and a Mopar 360/727/NP208J to put in (only because I already have the parts) '89 Comanche 4 cyl 5 speed he's building to sell to his buddy (the guy bought my first Comanche 3 years ago and has finally worn out the AMC 2.54L motor at @300,000 miles, and wants another) That might get a 4.0L and 5 speed with the 4.10 gears. My 10' flatdeck is sitting in the brush, waiting for me to get a truck to put under it. Then there are the small piles of spare parts here and there (most are under the tent/garage in my back yard) including a spare Comanche box and MJ rear half (was going to be a trailer but haven't had the time) An E350 moving van, '86 Montero in the driveway. My wife's '01 Subaru and my 6" lifted Comanche shortbox daily driver that is nearly 4x4 (just need to swap the trans and Tcase in now) on 33" tires. (It's a real head turner) From: oconner_us@xxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: eagles in washington To: mail@xxxxxxxxxxxx Message-ID: <ADVANCES62IEAOeIiGX00000018@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Hey Malcom, keep an eye on the newspaper, The Nickel Nik and The Exchange. I have occasionally seen them offered fairly cheap in all three of those. A while back someone in either Moscow or Pullman (can't remember which) was offering several of them for parts. Good luck.
