Watching the Barrett-Jackson auction over the past few days, I saw some absolutely beautiful cars go up for sale. This is a rich person's play world here. The average shmoe like myself could hardly dream of owning any of the cars so outrageously priced! I didn't see any AMC's on the block until today at 3pm est. It was a beautiful '69 BBG AMX which the hosts said was one of only 32 built. Is that so?? The announcers didn't have much information about the car at all and were guessing that it had a 390 in it. The miles were never stated, but it was mentioned that the car had been restored. It was pushed off the auction block by hand before the final bid of $57K claimed the car. Bob Rapp NN, VA 70 Machine PS - The bidding assistant working for Barrett-Jackson, Amy Sparks-Assiter, is quite a honey!! She's got a very sweet southern accent and hails from Alex, Oklahoma. I didn't know it, but she's also the 2000 International Champion Auctioneer and married. :-( AMC content: I'd let her ride in my Rebel annnnny time!!
