Baffle pan under intake???

I am getting ready to install an Offenhauser intake on my Javelin 401, I have a baffle pan from a stock 360 AMC manifold but it does not fit. Do I need to install one on the Offy? What will happen if I don't? Will a valley pan gasket prevent a problem? I have heard that oil will suck up through the pcv valve is this true? or will using a valley pan prevent this? Does someone make a baffle for the Offy?
