You'll help keep the list alive by posting some more great progress on your Hornet. Is it drying out in LA yet?
It rained the day 'fore, and today! Grumble. My work space is outside. I hope to put concrete under and a roof over this summer.
No progress on the www, nor in assembly, but moooving along OK gathering parts.
I sold a bunch of lab equipment on ePay and am buying goodies. Since November I've got:
* 250 hp six I got from Mark Rippe (1982) * valve cover, oil pan from AJ (thanks! box arrived, haven't opened yet) * T150 with overdrive, bellhousing, flywheel, shim, yoke from Amer. Parts Depo (see separate story) * engine stand
I hope to buy a hoist this weekend. Tired of renting them, and I have a place to store it now.
(The old 232 I got from you (Joe F.) is in the car now; that will come out, get oiled down for storage, and become the rebuilder for either the 72 Hornet or the 63 Classic. )
Our tenants are total packrats, took $200 of hauling to get the crap (rain soaked) out of the side driveway so's I can turn the hornet around to install the new motor. It's gotta be dry too. I assume it will eventually stop raining here. At least it's not S. Mass. where my parents are, 32" snow at the beach.
Slow, but moving. Once the engine is in, I have a lot of trivia but it's the kind that just takes hours and can be done an afternoon at a time.
