Americans NEVER had a torque-tube. They were ALWAYS open drive-shaft with leaf springs.

It doesn't matter if you are talking about the 1950-56 Nash Rambler, the revived 1958-60 Rambler American, the rebodied 1961-63 Rambler American or the (essentially) "clean sheet" 1964-69 Rambler Americans.

Only the "big" cars had torque-tubes.
