Central Coast Yard Report

Peninsula Auto Wreckers in Prunedale still has that 64 Classic 4-door 660 in
the yard. It will be crushed this week because I expect to pick up the
engine and transmission next Sat. The car was in great condition when it
came into the yard. Still has good door handle hardware and all glass and
all trim moldings except for rocker moldings, which I took.

PickNPull, Moss Landing, has an 80 or 81 Eagle wagon in the hold lot.
Because of its location I could not get a good look at it so don't know
engine size. There are several FSJs in the yard (no 401s) and many many
Cherokees.

Salinas Salvage Moss Landing has:

62 Ambassador complete except for rear differential assembly. I am trying
to buy the windshield and hood and front seats.

71 or 72 AMX 401/4-speed. It is complete except for the transmission.
Damage to the cowl hood. Poor bondo job on the driver's front fender, so I
don't know what's going on there. This yard is very hard to deal with. The
AMX was supposed to be sold whole a few months ago, but now is being parted
out. A pity.

I might be able to get more info this next Saturday, when I hope to be
pulling parts from the Ambo. If you are interested in parts, let me know
what you want AND how much you are willing to pay. The yard manager can be
a very arbitrary and he may think he has a gold mine with the AMX. Just my
opinion, based on past dealings.

Joe Fulton
Salinas, CA
