Brien, I have yet to put a set up to an engine in a chassis. From the fact they are a direct drop on for the Free flow manifolds, to the extent the stock exhaust will hook to them, I would have to say if a Free Flow manifold works and clears upside down, then these have a better than 50/50 chance of working. On another note, I have been slowly persuing different pouts you might can use to adapt the Lexus 6 speed. I found something you might be able to ''go off of'', and in fact it might open some other doors if you are going with Turbo 6 AMC power. Go look at the Early AMC 6. The Small Bell bolt patterend units. I believe that AMC 6 went to V8 bolt pattern in 72. Maybe 71. But the early stuff has a small pattern, and it carries the starter in a high location on the Driver side of the block. I know that 199 and 232 engines were built like this, but not sure if they ever built a 258 small bolt block. Also, the old 196 might carry that small pattern as well. Those engines used a steel shim ''block plate'' between the engine and trans to locate thje starrter. Look at one of those plates, and or Bellhousings for the 3 speeds, and maybe you could make that fit up to the 6 speed auto. This might turn into a ''Kevin Bacon'' like game. How many steps from a Lexus is this AMC?? Since I don't have a Small sized motor/chassis combo in hand to try the Eldybrocks on, I can't say exactly how everything would fit up. I was told near 2 weeks ago my headers were being sent. I was to get 3 sets out of my order because there was not enough to fill all the porders. This is the new *TI-TEC[pronounced tie-teck] black/grey headers. I was told the Ceramic models would follow in about two weeks after that. Friday I was told Edelbrock still shows backorder status on the pieces and do not expect to release any until the end of January. All I know is the Non Smog Shorty Headers from Edelbrock will be available when they release them and not before. I still have no price for the Non Smog versions. Reason I am told is since they have not been released, there is not price. In fact the part number assigned is not official until the part is released. Until release anything and everything about any given part is subject to change. Originally they were going to do a Chromed version. I got a part number. The part never went into production, it was dropped. Same with the original part numbers for non smog models given when smog models hit the scene. Those numbers are no good as someone posted a link showing the current numbers. Well, they may well be the correct numbers, we will know when the parts come in. Regards, Randy Guynn
