Yes, at one time, there was...problem is, how much can 5-10 "regulars" talk about over a few months period of time? The chat talks lasted about 4-6 weeks, then petered out due to lack of new conversational content. If you already have your car done, there's nothing to do to it. If you're stalled in your efforts like me , there ain't much to ask for now. At first, around 20 showed up....then it dropped to 10 after a few weeks, then 4-5...then, it just stopped. Tough to keep chats going with no new content. I would like to > talk with some of my fellow AMC'ers online is all > Joey Best thing to do, Joey, is find a suitable chat forum for all to join ( MIRC, or the AMC Forum chat room ), and then do an email invite for a specific day/time at least 2-3 days in advance. Email on Monday for a Thursday or Friday evening chat. There's an AMC chat on Sunday nights from 9-11 pm EST, but it's usually only about 4 of us now, regulars, just killin' time. If you come to MIRC, the room is called #amc_cars, that's "pound sign" AMC "underscore" cars. Located on any EFnet channel you can find ( there are plenty of -nets, EFnet is the one the AMC room uses ). I've been to the AMC Forum and logged into their chat room, but it is usually empty these days. Rarely, I run across someone there. But I don't go there often, either. Maybe what we AMCer's need is a "BLAT" room, a cross between a Chat and a Blog. You can log in, throw your message out, come back later, and maybe even live chat with others. Just a thought for future Internet inventors...LOL! I think the AMC forum has a similar format, they list different topics, then you scroll down, add comments, only thing is there's no life chat there. Or a separate Buddy List for AMC people, problem is you need to belong to Yahoo or AOL/AIM to get that. I already have AMC buddylists on them myself. Anyway, pick a format, tell people how to get there, and set a date/time, and see what happens! Jerry Casper "down" to 25 vehicles this year, from 27...and plan to "lose" more of them. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
