Jim, I'm not familiar with a "floating rotor" design. The 91 Comanche 4x4 I had used regular rotors that came off like front drive rotors, only deeper offset (would make perfect rear reotors for AMCs!). Are the front rotors that much different on a 4x4? I've seen a few other 4x4 trucks, but never anything with a floating rotor (mostly 70s 4x4s). I would assume the rotor can move on the studs or whatever holds it in place??? Wish I had my TSMs with me!!

A: I used '83 Eagle wagon rotors on my '86 Comanche (which had an '87 4 cyl 
front axle) I think the floating rotor design is far simpler and easier to 
use. I almost used some spares on the last Rambler wagon I had, but I didn't 
have time to make brackets, so I fixed the original drum/drum setup instead 
(had a parts car given to me so it was easier at the time)
