Re: Tire size old vs new

Jim,

According to AM The Last Independent, standard tire size on the 67 Rebel wagon was 775 x 14. 15 inch wheels may have been an option, but I don't have a 67 Data Book to check for sure. The 775 x 14 converts to P205/75x14 or P215x70x14 in metric radial sizes.

Subject: Tire size old vs new

Hi all. Been awhile since I posted here, atho I'd drop in from time to time and read abit of what was going on.

I just picked up another AMC, a station wagon. I haven't actually got it yet as I'll have to go up North and drive it back.

The owner tells me it has the stock 15 x 6 wheels. Can someone tell me what came stock on a '67 Rebel wagon, and what modern tire size would be a good replacement?

Thanks,
