Re: Club events and other AMC dates

I just created the forum. The direct link to it is http://www.amcyclopedia.org/tiki-view_forum.php?forumId=3 but you have to register before you can post. There's also a link off of the home page.

If someone wants to be a moderator for this forum, let me and Frank Swygert (farna@xxxxxxx) know and I'll get you set up.

That's a very good idea and that's where it belongs...

The national and regional car clubs get most of this information in hard
copy fliers from the event sponsors all over the nation. Generally this
goes to local club secretaries or other officers. They get dozens of these
notices and the "Good Guys" Good Times" car show magazine sponsors in the NW
use to publish large carboard poster listing all events they knew of and
they gave that to their subscriber clubs. They did not list midwest or
eastern events though.

It would be good to have the information listed and also link to a scan of
the flyer for the event as many contain application for event space for
participants and for vendors, etc. But the info and the flyer copies seem
to come to the club officers and that is likely your best source for the
info.

If people are really interested, we could very easily create a forum at
http://www.amcyclopedia.org to put this information in.
