Sometimes

Sometimes, AMC people miss the point FOR the posting

(and they miss their OWN planned or unplanned humor:)

Cash offered for a HOOKER
Date: Sunday, January 2, 2005 12:39 AM
From: Brien Tourville <hh7x @verizon.net

(And s/he should be a "Holl-raiser" [underhood] also...?)

Sometimes, AMC people miss THE point for posting online:

>>
The unsung heros are the ones that operate privately, answering publicly
asked questions, out of the spotlight.
<<

(And, by shining only in shadows, assist/inform but one AMC fan...?)

Sometimes, in the AM, birdwatchers SEE cardinals as maroonies:

>>
I have certainly seen Maroon real Spirit AMXs. Have seen very dark blue
as well. Most seemed to be Black. I think the Maroon ones were fewer in
number. The dark blue ones I originally thought of as a repaint until I
saw the 2nd one painted that color. You know, many ''used'' car lots
<<

'79 Spirit AMX was NOT available in Maroon but WAS available in beige.
Specifically, in Firecracker Red, Classic Black, Olympic White, Wedgewood
[sic, but accurate] Blue, Saxon Yellow and Morocco Buff.

'80 Spirit AMX was NOT available in Maroon but WAS available in yet another
red and beige. Specifically, in Cardinal Red, Classic Black, Olympic White,
Navy Blue, Medium Brown Metallic and Cameo Tan.

Sometimes, anyone can miss by an inch, not a mile:

>>
I'm pretty sure the sedan side windows will not fit
the hatchbacks...so no.
>>

(And "hatchback" became "sedan" when AMC hatched WHICH new kindred
spirit...?)

(And "sedan" became "kammback" when AMC wheeled out WHAT quad for an
encore...?)

>>
If it's the door glass, the Gremlin glass is a direct fit. I believe the
2-door Concord/Hornet/Eagle series also used the same glass. The only
difference in the doors between the Gremlin/Spirit and the
Hornet/Concord/Eagle series is the Gremlin/Spirit window frame is attached
about an inch lower at the rear than the Hornet/Concord window frame.
<<

(And the OTHER "only" difference in 108"/96" side-door glass sizes also
was...?)

Unless such "publicly asked questions" shouldn't be discussed in public...

In AMC land.
