On your 71-74 Javelin roof.... Call me. I may have some leads for you in Austin TX

Al, I have a 74 that I just bought for my son, we are restoring it now. Anyway it came with L60-14's on the back, but they hit the outer fenders about 1/3 the way down the tire. Not sure who made the wheel, I do know that there is more room inside the wheel well for the tire and do not know what the Backspacing is on the wheel, (Backspacing is the distance the bolt pattern plate on the wheel is from the back of the wheel) looks like 3 1/2", as I remember from my younger days Cragar made wheels with backspacing that were 3.5", 4.5" and some 5". If the backspacing on this wheel was one or more inches the wheel would not hit the fender when it bounces or you really get on it. As the wheel also determines what tire you can get under the car hope this helps
By the way I'm looking for a roof for my sons 74, any one out there close to Texas, with a roof for a 73 or 74.
Good-Luck, Joe ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I am thinking about putting some bigger biters under my 74 Javelin, I currently have the stock 14" 8 slots on the front and will probably stay with the 14's and just change the rims...Cragers...but on the rear I want to put the most (widest) rubber I can.I have air shocks on the car but only to give it a level stance I do not want a jacked up car with 34 feet of tire hangin out. Want have you guys on the list done as far as a nice set of Crager SS's and big meats on the back? Any help would be appreciated.
