Re: Good AMC Day

Geeez, I'd call it a good AMC day, cars or no cars, if I could just find a local salvage yard open on a Sunday. Good score. They're still out there ....

The hot discovery was several rows over--a 74 Hornet hatchback---still housing a 304 V8! After a few celebratory "woo-hoo"s, I got to work pulling the V8 crossmember and brackets. I also scored a timing cover I needed for my 4.0 buildup (already off the engine, so I didn't have to worry about bringing a balancer puller!), plus the glovebox door from the Hornet. I got the crossmember and brackets for the princely sum of $8.36.
